Stuff was a New-York based jazz funk band active in the late 1970s and early 1980s with members among the finest session musicians in the New York studio music scene at that time . The members were Gordon Edwards (bass), the late Richard Tee (keyboards), the late Eric Gale (guitar), Cornell Dupree (guitar), Chris Parker (drums), and later Steve Gadd (drums). These are their self -titled debut and third release respectively.

Thanks QB!
Gale, Gadd, Dupree & Tee's funk/soul/jazz/blues project never gets the props deserved. If you have a chance to catch Joe Cocker's appearance on SNL from sometime in 75 or 76, Stuff is the backing band and also get to do one of their own.
Only one problem with this excellent post though... I lost the 2nd LP somewhere along the line! Any one out there have a copy to share?
hello master! i just found youre blog today. gonna bookmark it right now! some very nice funk beatz in youre blog. keep funkin' us. i promise you i will comment in every funk album that i like ;) thx again for the great job!
Is it the live one???
hello Cheeba as JJ aloso enquired which one do you mean ?
Hi BQ and JJ.... I was talking about More Stuff, which was the follow up - Live Stuff came between it and Stuff It. Not quite as good but a couple worthwhile tracks on it.
I've actually never heard the live one so would be interested if anyone had a copy of that too! Having seen the SNL performance a few years back, it's gotta be good.
No clip on YT right now but here's the IMdB link to episode info:

Thanks cheeba I think they have the reissued and repackaged version of that one with 'Live in New York'. which I do have (am trying to locate it). Individually the albums' price is inexplicably much much higher.
And thanks for the SNL leads.
Hey Queen, thanks for checkin' it out.
I dug up my old SNLs and upped these from '75 for you & your readers if interested:

Joe Cocker & Stuff - Feelin' Alright

Didn't bother putting them on YouTube since they probably would have been pulled sooner rather than later.
