Bunky Green - Transformations (1977)

Bunky Green first came to attention in 1960 as a sideman for Charles Mingus, and later he played with Yusef Lateef and Sonny Stitt and cut several albums as a leader playing the alto sax. Most of his albums are out of print now. Originally issued on Vanguard in 1977, "Transformations" is rereleased in 2003 . Green has withdrew from the public eye and is active instead as a leading Jazz educator; he is now a faculty member at the University Of North Florida.
