Bill Stewart - Incandescence

One set of drums and two sets of keyboards maybe a rather unconventional combination but it also offers plenty of possibilities especially at the hands of Larry Goldings on Hammond organ, Kevin Hays on piano and Bill Stewart on drums.

Billy Bang

I. Vietnam: Reflections (2005)

" Billy Bang The violin is hardly the first instrument that comes to mind when you think about jazz. Over the past 26 years Bang's hard-edged tone, has produced over two dozen albums by top names in a variety of genres, from the blistering funk of Bootsy Collins to the progressive uproar of Sun Ra. With more than 15 albums under his own leadership, nearly a dozen more in co-led endeavors, and five more with the String Trio of New York (which he co-founded in 1977 with guitarist James Emery and bassist John Lindberg), Billy Bang is one of the more prolific and original members of the progressive scene..."

Woody Herman - The Raven Speaks (1972)

"Recorded right after his years with Cadet, and in a similar funky big band vein! The record's got a very nice version of "Fat Mama", plus one the all-time favorites, "Alone Again Naturally"! Players include Harold Danko on Fender Rhodes, Pat Martino on guitar, and Al Johnson on bass. The album was originally released in 1972 and re-released in 1991 ...." (Dusty Groove)
